The Waha Oil Company, an affiliate of the state-run oil corporation (NOC), has announced that ten wells would be brought on line following successful work-overs during the past period.

The company explained on Facebook that the targeted wells were shut down for technical reasons, anticipating that the step would boost the company’s production with an additional 3,500 barrels per day.

According to the company, the program will be implemented in partnership with Halliburton, a leading service provider to the oil industry.

A joint technical team from both parties are expected to study and analyze the factors that led to the closure of oil wells before issuing recommendations and identifying the maintenance required.
