The number of operations conducted by the US medical team specialized in open heart surgery for children in the Tobruk Medical Center has reached 27 operations up until Wednesday.
The information officer at the center, Moataz al-Hassi, said that the American medical team has conducted an operation on Wednesday on a two-year-old girl suffering from congenital heart defects.
This operation is the 27th conducted by the American medical team visiting the city of Tobruk.
It is worth noting that the US medical team specializing in open heart surgery arrived at the Tobruk Medical Center at the end of last March to conduct open heart surgery for children in the center under the auspices of the World Health Organization Libyan branch.
