UNDP says will continue support for education sector in Libya.

The United Nations Development Program (UNDP) office in Libya said it is coordinating with the Ministry of Planning and municipalities to support the education sector.

On its Facebook page, the UNDP clarified that it had carried out maintenance work to more than 30 sites in various sectors during the current year, including educational institutions and health facilities.

It also warned that the effects of conflict, have far-reaching consequences that extend beyond battlefields and damage vital infrastructure, including education, stressing that children are the first to suffer from such consequences affecting the education sector and other basic services.
