The Turkish General Directorate of Civil Aviation has announced that it will soon start restructuring the Libyan Civil Aviation Authority and training its employees, which will contribute to strengthen relations between Turkey and Libya.

This comes within the scope of the Memorandum of Understanding signed in Istanbul on November 7, 2021, which includes technical infrastructure and training enhancement in order to update and implement Libyan civil aviation development plans, according to the Directorate.

It also added that it will expand the exercises on airports, aviation security and ramp control that were previously provided to the employees of the Libyan Civil Aviation Authority, and this year it will focus support on technologies, especially security.
