The National Oil Corporation (NOC) has indicated that the decline in oil production is as a direct result of the port closures, reducing the output to 122,000 barrels daily. They also concluded that the closure constituted the loss of income, which was set at two billion dollars.
The Corporation strongly condemned the distribution companies in the southern region for increasing the price of fuel tenfold, urging those companies to adhere to the official prices.
