Within the framework of the interest that the National Oil Corporation (NOC) attaches to the youth sector, support for clubs and sports activity that has a broad popular base, and to promote the push towards greater stability.
In Sunday, February 13, 2021, the NOC, through the Department of Sustainable Development, delivered three buses to the clubs of Al-Sadaqa in Shahat, Al-Afriqi in Darna and Al-Suqur in Tobruk, in the presence of Mr. Mustafa Sanalla”, chairman of the board of directors of the NOC, and Heads and delegates of the mentioned clubs.
Mr. Mustafa Sanalla said to the attendees, saying: “We are very happy to present this simple initiative to some of our sports clubs, which need some support to continue to perform their lofty mission and take care of youth and sports activity, Keeping young people away from the void and exploiting the youth’s energy in the right way, the most important of which is sports activity, and the creation of a healthy, educated generation that is immune to destructive phenomena.
On this occasion, the NOC’s Chairman made it clear and said that we have emphasized to a number of our foreign partners the need to engage in programs to support clubs through sponsorship contracts, and that the future is better, God willing.
For their part, the heads and delegates of the clubs expressed their thanks and appreciation to the NOC, headed by Mr. Mustafa Sanalla, for the attention and full support of the sports clubs, considering that this step constitutes a precedent in the history of Libyan clubs by receiving support from the NOC.
It is worth noting that the National Oil Corporation, through the Department of Sustainable Development, had announced that 2022 will be a year for youth and sports, and during this year it will focus on a program to support sports clubs and sports activity in coordination with the relevant authorities.
