The National Oil Corporation (NOC) signed on Tuesday a memorandum of understanding with Norwegian oil and gas giant Statoil to examine Libya’s oil potential in maritime areas.

Under the agreement, the Norwegian company will provide training for young national personnel working in the oil sector.

It may be worth noting that the Norway-based Statoil, also known as Equinor, is one of the leading multinational energy companies operating in 36 countries with additional investments in renewable energy.
