The National Oil Corporation (NOC) and Total Energies discuss increase of production of Waha Oil Company, Restoring production from the Mabrouk oil field, and the NOC Gas Strategy.

The Chairman of the NOC, Eng. Mustafa Sanalla, met with the CEO of Total Energy, Mr. Patrick Pouyanne during the activities of the Sierra Week conference in Houston, USA.
Mr. Sanalla and Mr. Pouyanne have discussed the increase of current production rates of the Waha Oil Company through the rehabilitation of the infrastructure and the development of the discovered fields, and the return of the Mabrouk field to production at the beginning of the year 2023.
The NOC Strategy to increase gas production from onshore and offshore gas assets was also discussed, increasing the gas production rates will respond to the increased demand for gas for the global market, and TotalEnergies expressed its interest in contributing to this strategy by holding a technical workshop with the NOC to discuss the technical details the strategy and the possibility to participate in the development of some of these opportunities.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Khalifa Rajab Abdulsadek, Advisor to the Chairman and CEO of Murzuq Oil Services, Mr. Stephane Michel, Head of Natural Gas, Renewable Energy and Energy Systems, Mr. Nicolas Terraz, President of Exploration and Production, and Mr. Laurent Vivre, Regional Director of Exploration and Production for the Middle East and North Africa.
