The National Oil Corporation held an expanded meeting with the Zawiya Oil Refining Company, chaired by Eng. Mustafa Sanallah, Chairman of the Board of Directors, at noon on Sunday, October 11, 2020, at the Corporation’s headquarters in the Libyan capital, Tripoli, in the presence of a member of the Board of Directors for Financial and Administrative Affairs, Mr. Al-Amari Muhammad Al-Ammari, and Chairman Al-Zawia Management Committee Mr. Al-Sadiq Muhammad, accompanied by members of the Management Committee, gentlemen, Mustafa Khalifa, Committee Member for Engineering and Projects, Muhammad Daboub, Member of the Committee for Maintenance and Services, and Imad Al-Taher, Committee Member for Operations.
During the meeting, the general activity of the company and the readiness of the industrial units in the refinery, to resume operations, coincided with the lifting of the force majeure from the Sharara oil field, the general activity of the Benghazi Asphalt Factory, the resumption of sales of the asphalt product, in addition to the readiness of the plant The asphalt of the Zawiya and the oil mixing and filling plant at the Zawiya, and the readiness to operate them immediately after the resumption of the refinery operations, and the readiness of the marinas at the Zawiya oil port was confirmed, and in this context the completion of the partial maintenance work for the underwater shipping pipelines of the private berth No. 3 In the operations of shipping spark crude, and increasing the readiness of the marinas at the port for re-operation
The attendees also discussed the difficulties facing the company in implementing some projects, and ways to overcome them, through the presentation of some proposals by the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Foundation, Engineer Mustafa Sanallah, through which the activities of these projects can be resumed.
Some of the activities and projects of the Sustainable Development Administration adjacent to the oil sites in Zawiya were also discussed, and what had been implemented in the city in the past period, and the administration’s plans for current projects during the coming period were also discussed.
