On Saturday, December 26, 2020, in the main meeting hall of the Sirte Oil and Gas Production and Processing Company in Marsa Brega, the general assembly meeting of Taqnia Libya Engineering Works was held under the chairmanship of Eng. Mustafa Sanallah, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Oil Corporation (Chairman of the General Assembly) and in the presence of Messrs. Abu al-Qasim Shanqir, And Al-Amari Muhammad, members of the Board of Directors (members of the General Assembly), and in the presence of Mr. Jad Allah Al-Awakli, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Company, Messrs. Salah Aila, Issa Khalifa Milad, Abdul Hakim Al-Kamayli, Kamal Hashad, members of the Board of Directors, Mr. Zaki Bayoud, Executive Director of the Company, General Directors and Directors Departments, a number of specialists on both sides, and the head and members of the monitoring body.
At the beginning of his speech, Eng. Mustafa Sanallah explained that the company, despite the difficult circumstances it has gone through, has contributed to the efforts of its workers in filling the void left by the exit of global consulting companies as a result of the security conditions that the country has gone through, as it has provided many studies, engineering consultations and technical support For companies operating in the sector, praising the company’s efforts in its interest and work in quality, safety, health and environment management systems, and its support for sector companies in this field through training programs.
For his part, Mr. Jadallah Al-Awakali stressed that the conditions that our country and the oil sector are going through, including a lack of budgets and financing for companies, and a lack of cash liquidity negatively affected the company’s business during the year 2020, but there has remained a noticeable improvement in a number of studies and projects that have been obtained that vary in percentages Achievement with it, adding that Libya Technology has managed, despite all the previously mentioned circumstances, to close its final accounts for the year 2019, until the month of the year 9 of 2020, and the company has also been keen to implement its work according to an integrated and comprehensive management system for the requirements of quality, health, safety and environment, based on specifications ISO 9001: 2015, indicating that all of the company’s accomplishments were achieved by the grace of God first, and then with the unlimited support of the National Oil Corporation.
The Chairman and members of the Corporation’s Board of Directors made a number of observations focused on the company’s work to push young people qualified to implement the projects that the company undertakes to gain experience, work to localize business and train engineers to build specialized national cadres according to a comprehensive development plan, through the implementation of work in partnership with international companies They also stressed the need to intensify visits to oil companies, reach radical solutions to collecting the company’s debts, and the importance of focusing on the use of alternative energies in the fields in the future.
In the meeting, the most important work of the company in the year 2020, future projects and the financial budget for the year 2021 were presented at the meeting, and the report of the Supervisory Board and its observations were listened to and the company’s responses related to them were heard.
