The general assembly meeting of Brega Oil Marketing Company for the year 2019 was held at NOC headquarters in Tripoli, headed by NOC Chairman to review the company’s activity for this year and the proposed programs and estimated budget for 2020.
The progressess of the projects implemented, the budgets necessary to maintenance work, the strategy to ensure the provision of hydrocarbons to the local market, and the measures taken to implement health, safety and environmental standards were revieeed. The security challenges facing employees of the company’s warehouses, the report of the company’s monitoring committee and its comments and comments were discussed and answered were provided.
The Chairman of Brega Oil Marketing Company confirmed the company’s intention to implement a number of strategic projects to increase the storage capacities of the warehouses to provide fuel and distribute it legally in all parts of Libya.
Chairman and members of the Board of Directors of NOC praised the important role the company plays in providing the needs of the local market of fuel and its derivatives and the efforts to combat smuggling, especially in the difficult circumstances the country is going through, praising the efficiency and courage of the company’s employees who have not spared effort to keep operations going despite all the challenges they faced and the events the company witnessed during the current year.
NOC Chairman stressed that more attention should be paid to the occupational health of workers who deal directly with fuel and chemicals and provide all safety and personal protection equipment, calling for concerted efforts to support the local economy and involve the private sector in the company’s activities, including manufacturing and distributing gas cylinders and building warehouses, in coordination with the General Authority for Investment Promotion.
