Within the framework of the continuous and periodic follow-up of the operating companies and the relentless keenness of the National Oil Corporation to continue developing the current fields, preparing new fields to put them on production, and its tireless efforts to increase its rates, despite all forms of challenges and exceptional circumstances that the country is going through.
The Chairman of the Board of Directors, Eng. Mustafa Sanallah, met on Wednesday, December 9, 2020, at the headquarters of the National Oil Corporation in Tripoli, with the Chairman of the Operator Management Committee of Mellitah Oil and Gas Company, Mr. Mohamed Bin Shatwan, where the precautionary measures taken by the company to prevent the Corona pandemic (Covid 19) were discussed In the oil fields and sites belonging to them, and the development of the offshore fields was discussed.
Aspects related to operations and maintenance were also discussed, as well as the future vision of the new management committee and its plans to increase production rates during the coming years, and the field visit by the head of the management committee operator, Mr. Bin Shatwan, to the Mellitah complex was discussed to find out about the complex’s operations, the needs of workers and improving services.
In this regard, the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Eng. Mustafa Sanallah, confirmed that the National Oil Corporation will provide the necessary support to the company, in order to be able to complete its important projects, which are implemented and completed, will support the national economy and contribute significantly to its recovery.
