The annual meeting was held at NOC headquarters in Tripoli, headed by NOC Chairman.
The activity of the company and its various departments was reviewed during the year 2019 and the meeting dealt with health, safety and environment, reservoir engineering, earth sciences, drilling, engineering projects, follow-up of the exceptional budget and the activities of the financial and legal departments. The proposed work programs and budget for the year 2020, in addition to the various projects that the company intends to undertake during the year 2020 to reach the desired goals for the purpose of putting North Hamada field on production, in addition to reviewing the notes of the Chairman of the Owners Committee and the report of the company’s monitoring body.
NOC Chairman praised the exceptional efforts made by the staff of Nafusa Petroleum Operations Company in order to increase the company’s performance and contribute to the advancement of the national economy, despite all the difficult circumstances and challenges faced, praising the effort to put the development plan of the discovered pieces into practice as soon as possible and urged the company’s management committee to carry out reservoir and laboratory studies, and study early production options in the fields and plots that the company operates and is expected to start production during 2020, which will contribute to increasing the Libyan public production of crude oil by 10,000 barrels per day until production reach an average of 50 thousand barrels per day, and about 70 million cubic feet of gas per day by 2024, upon completion of implementation of the comprehensive development plan.
Chairman of Nafusa Company thanked and appreciated NOC Chairman and members of the Board of Directors for their continuous support and encouragement and providing administrative and financial facilities for the rapid development of the company’s fields.
