On Sunday, October 18, 2020, the technical meeting of the Sirte Oil and Gas Production and Processing Company was held at the headquarters of the National Oil Corporation (Al-Sarir Hall) in the Libyan capital, Tripoli, and via closed-circuit linking from the company’s headquarters in Buraiqah, in the presence of the Director General of Industries at the National Oil Corporation, Mr. Khaled Gueili, and the President The Board of Directors of Sirte Company, Mr. Masoud Suleiman Musa.
During the meeting, the general activity of the company was discussed, and everything related to financial and technical matters, and the precautionary protocols that had been taken to confront and combat the emerging corona virus (Covid 19) pandemic, in accordance with the instructions issued by the National Oil Corporation to all its companies, and it was keen to implement it in all its different locations since the beginning Epidemic spread.
The operations of the methanol plants and the operations of the Buriqa refinery after lifting the status of force majeure from the company’s fields were discussed, in addition to the operations of transporting and supplying natural gas through the coastal network to supply power stations and the rest of consumers. The operations of the facilities, the gas plant, communications and information technology were also discussed.
The maintenance activities for all industrial units and facilities required during the previous suspension period were presented, which were carried out with high professionalism and professionalism with Libyan hands in difficult conditions, which contributed to the improvement and safe operation of industrial units.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the Director General of Industries at the Corporation, Mr. Khaled Gueili, thanked and praised the Chairman and members of the Board of Directors, and all the employees of the company, for their efforts in implementing some of the projects on their own and with Libyan hands, and the successful return of safe operations.
The meeting was attended by directors of departments and specialists in the corporation, members of the board of directors, general managers, directors of departments and specialists at the company.
