On Wednesday, November 04, 2020, the technical meeting of the Brega Oil Marketing Company was held at the headquarters of the National Oil Corporation in the Al-Sarir hall in the Libyan capital, Tripoli, and via closed-circuit linking with each of the Foundation’s headquarters, Benghazi and Ras Lanuf, in the presence of a member of the Board of Directors for the Petroleum Industries, Planning, Computer and Communications At the National Oil Corporation, Mr. Jadallah Al-Awkali, and the Chairman of the Management Committee of the Brega Petroleum Marketing Company, Mr. Ibrahim Abu Buraidah, and the members of the management committee of the company, Messrs. Faraj Al-Jaidi, a member of the Committee for Operations and Human Resources, Abdul Rahman Al-Obaidi, a member of the Committee for Engineering, Projects and Information Technology, and Mr. Moftah Al-Asqaa, a member of the Committee for Finance and Trade .
During the meeting, the general activity of the company was discussed, and everything related to financial and technical matters, and the precautionary protocols that had been taken to confront and combat the emerging corona virus (Covid 19) pandemic, in accordance with the instructions issued by the National Oil Corporation to all its companies, and was keen to implement it in all its different locations since the beginning Epidemic spread.
The operations of supplies of fuels and derivatives, their distribution and provision in all parts of the country and the storage capacities of petroleum products, despite all the challenges, were discussed, in addition to the operations of supplying power stations with fuel and the rest of consumers, and projects related to communications and information technology were also discussed.
The maintenance activity was also shown for all the company’s warehouses in all regions of Libya, which were carried out professionally and professionally with Libyan hands in very difficult conditions, which contributed to improving and safe operation, and the attendees also discussed the rolled-over capital projects that are currently being implemented and proposed for the year 2021, and a summary of budgets.
The Chairman of the Company’s Management Committee, Mr. Ibrahim Abu Baridah, presented the ambitious plan for the advancement of the company, which is in line with the strategic plan set by the company.
At the end of the meeting, the member of the Board of Directors, Mr. Jadallah Al-Awakli, thanked and praised the Chairman and members of the Management Committee of Al-Brega Company, and all its employees, for their exceptional effort in implementing some of the projects on their own and with Libyan hands, and the company continued its work despite all the circumstances in all Over Libya.
The meeting was attended by the general director of computers and communications, directors of departments and specialists in the corporation, general managers, directors of departments and specialists at the Buraiqa Company, and representatives of the Libyan Technology Company for Engineering Works and the Libyan Petroleum Institute.
