The National Oil Corporation (NOC) confirmed that the North African Geophysical Exploration Company has been exposed to the looting of its machinery and equipment.

“The company was forced to shut down its HQ following its shelling on April 10 last,” NOC stated Tuesday.

It further clarified that a missing truck loaded with around 40,000 litres of fuel was found in the area of Germa last Saturday.

The fuel truck was attacked by unknown perpetrators while heading to Sabha warehouse, according to NOC.

The NOC expressed its laments at the continuing instability and the lack of the rule of law in the country, and the resulting damage caused to the oil sector
