Oil Minister, Maltese Finance Minister discuss strengthening cooperation in trade, oil fields

Minister of Oil and Gas in the National Unity Government, Mohammad Aoun, discussed on Thursday, with the Maltese Minister of Finance and Labour, Clyde Caruana, a number of files of common interest in the field of trade and oil dealings between the two countries.

During the meeting, which was held in Tripoli, the two sides also discussed the file of the continental shelf in the Mediterranean between Libya and Malta, and the possibilities of exploiting the common economic potentials in this region.

For his part, Aoun indicated that he would discuss this file with the Libyan authorities, as it concerns Libya’s sovereignty and needs prior coordination, the ministry stated on its official Facebook page.
