NOC supports Libyan Department of Antiquities’ central archive project.

National Oil Corporation (NOC) signed an agreement on October 24, 2019, committing it to supporting the development of the central archive of the Libyan Department of Antiquities (DoA) and the electronic library system for the Libyan Centre for Historical Studies and National Archives.
The projects focus on the maintenance of the archive building, installation of historical document storage and exhibition equipment, and the establishment of a new department for paper document restoration and preservation. The projects also feature provision and installation of fire alarms and electronic archiving systems, including for the Libyan Centre for Historical Studies and National Archives’ library. 
The signing ceremony was attended by Mr Mokhtar Abdedayem, manager of NOC’s Sustainable Development Department; Dr Mohamed Faraj Mohamed, head of Libyan DoA; Dr Hafed Walda, delegate of Libya to UNESCO; as well as a number of managers from DoA and the Libyan Centre for Historical Studies and National Archives.
