NOC prepares to export the first shipment of crude oil through Hariqa port.

An official at the National Oil Corporation (NOC) said on Sunday that the oil port of Hariqa will receive the crude oil tanker, ‘Marlin Shikoku’, arriving from the Netherlands next Thursday.

The oil tanker is due to ship a quantity of crude oil from Sarir oilfield.

This is the first shipment to be exported after the NOC announced the partial lifting of the status of force majeure.

The oil official, who preferred to remain anonymous, explained that the quantity of oil to be exported is one million barrels of oil.
