National Oil Corporation (NOC) calls for the safe return of Mr Saad Dinar, head of the Oil Workers’ Union, taken from near his home on the evening of April 29, 2019, by an armed group in Suluq.
NOC is gravely concerned about Mr Dinar’s wellbeing. He has not been seen since his seizure. The corporation will exhaust all legal means, domestically and internationally to aid his safe return. NOC calls for anyone with information relating to this incident to contact the Public Prosecutor’s Office.
Eng. Mustafa Sanalla, NOC chairman, said: “Mr Dinar has always represented the best interest of Libyan oil and gas workers as the head of their union. NOC stands firmly with Mr Dinar’s family and colleagues who want to see him safely returned.”
