The newly appointed Chairman of the state-run electricity company (GECOL), Muhammad Al-Mashai, has conducted a visit to Benghazi to look into the power services in the eastern region.
A statement by the GECOL on Sunday said the visit came to follow up on the progress of work in the company’s branches in the east and to identify the most prominent challenges facing the eastern wing of the network.
Al-Mashai and his accompanying delegation held a meeting with several directors of departments and generation stations to review the status of the electrical network in the eastern province.
The GECOL’s head stressed the importance of providing stable electricity services, vowing to strengthen the capacity of the GECOL to enable it to deliver uninterrupted power supplies.
