The Misurata Chamber of Commerce, Industry, and Agriculture has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Greek Trikala Chamber of Commerce during a visit by Misurata Chamber officials to Greece.
Trikala is one of the regional units of Greece, forming the northwestern part of the region of Thessaly, and its capital is the town of Trikala.
A statement by Libya’s Ministry of Economy and Trade said the agreement aims to promote trade and economic exchange between the two countries.
The MoU was inked by Fathi El-Amin, Chairman of the Misurata Chamber of Commerce, and his counterpart Vassilius Giakos, President of the Trikala Chamber, in the presence of a group of businessmen, investors, and relevant officials.
On the sideline of the signing ceremony, the two parties discussed the possibility of organizing bilateral visits and meetings between Libyan and Greek entrepreneurs.
The Libyan delegation also toured several factories and met with the Governor of Trikala at the governorate headquarters.
