The first meeting of the Libyan-Russian Joint Committee, headed by the Minister of Oil and Gas, Mohamed Aoun, has taken place in Tripoli and covered cooperation between Libya and Russia in the fields of oil and gas, railways, electricity, mills and animal fodder, along with a number of other issues.
Aoun emphasized the necessity to complete the committee’s tasks in a timely manner to serve the interests of the Libyan state, reiterating the importance of joint cooperation with Russia.
Those attending the meeting also stressed the relevance of activating the agreements concluded between both countries and benefiting from the experience of Russian companies in investing in crucial projects with economic returns for Libya.
