Minister of Transport holds discussions with Italian ambassador on methods to begin Tripoli airport project

The Minister of Transport, Mohamed Salem Al-Shahoubi, discussed with the Italian ambassador to Libya, Giuseppe Buccino, methods to activate various projects contracted in relation to Tripoli International Airport, with the consortium of Italian companies ‘Aeneas’.

This came during a meeting held on Sunday at the Ministry’s office in the presence of a number of officials from both sides to discuss preparations for the onset of the project.

The meeting also discussed preparations of the Ministry of Transport to secure the airport in order to begin the work contracted to the companies and the possibility of Italian Airlines returning to operate in the Libyan airports, along with the Amsaed-Ras Ajdir road project and procedures necessary for the implementation of the work.
