A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the Ministry of Education of the Government of National Accord and the Public Health Insurance Fund on the provision of health insurance for education workers was held on Saturday in Tripoli.
The chairman of the Presidency Council of the Government of National Accord, Fayez Al-Sarraj, chaired the ceremony. The minister of Education, Othman Abdul Jalil, undersecretary, Adel Juma, and the director of Human Resources Department, Amal Laba, attended the ceremony as well as undersecretary of the Ministry of Health, Issa Al-Omayani, the minister of Economy Commissioner, Nasser Fadlallah, representatives of the education observers and the Education Committee in the parliament and. Representatives of the Teachers’ Unions were absent.
During the signing ceremony, a detailed presentation of the service program was presented by the chairman of the Board of Directors of the Fund.
“The announcement of the activation of health insurance services for workers in the education sector was announced today. The agreement includes the announcement of the start of service provision, with the establishment of a joint working team to prepare a database and geographical distribution of the sector’s employees as the largest government sector in Libya. It needs to gather accurate information and develop a plan of action to activate these services over the next three years to provide health services based on correct procedures and do not hinder any obstacles in the future to make them stand”, said the chairman of the Public Health Insurance Fund.
