Mellitah Oil & Gas has successfully re-drilled and completed the 4th well at the El Feel field, the National Oil Corporation (NOC) announced on Tuesday.
According to the NOC, the well reached a production capacity of around 3,500 barrels per day. Farhat Bengdara, the Chairman of the NOC, commended the national efforts contributing to this achievement.
The Corporation said the reactivation of the well is part of its strategy to improve and increase crude oil production as it aspires to boost Libya’s oil production to 2 million barrels per day. Currently, Libya produces about 1.5 million barrels of oil per day.
