A medical team from Mouwasat Voluntary Medical Convoy has conducted 54 free eye surgeries during their visit to the oasis towns of Ghat and Ubari as part of Al-Nour Eye Operations Project.

The team carried out 550 medical examinations in the mobile clinics of the municipality of Ubari and Ghat districts of Awainat, Tahala, and Barkat before transmitting the cases to the General Hospital of Ghat.

The convoy comes in view of the acute shortage of eye doctors in the south with the support of civil society organizations, aiming to reduce the incidence of chronic eye diseases in the municipalities of Ghat, Ubari and the south in general.
