Marisa Free Zone obtains approval to establish dry port

The Ministry of Economy and Trade announced that its affiliated free zone, the Marisa, has obtained approval from the Ports and Maritime Transport Authority to establish a dry port with a storage capacity of ​​100 acre.

Under the decision, the Marisa Free Zone will undertake the construction of the port in accordance with the laws and regulations issued in this regard, including cooperating with the competent authorities to conclude the rest of the procedures.

The ministry said that this step comes within its plan to activate free zones and enhance its role to support the national economy, localize industries, stimulate transit trade, and create investment opportunities in all regions.
