The US ambassador, meanwhile; reaffirmed his country’s support of a UN-led political settlement to the crisis and the NOC’s central role in promoting stability and shared prosperity in Libya.

On Monday, Sanallah met with US Assistant Secretary of State, David Schenke, and ambassador Richard Norland in Tunisia, where the US officials reiterated their country’s support for the NOC, saying it should be neutral and resourceful in order to work for all Libyans, adding Libyan oil revenue must remain under the oversight of the Tripoli-based NOC.
