Libyan Minister of Economy discusses activating 2008 agreement with Italy

The Libyan Minister of Economy, Mohammed Al-Huweij, discussed with the Italian Ambassador to Libya, Gianluca Alberini, aspects of cooperation in the fields of economy and investment and the mechanism of cooperation between business owners in both countries.

Al-Huweij stressed the importance of activating the provisions of the Treaty of Friendship and Partnership signed between the two countries in 2008, and resuming work on infrastructure projects contracted with Italian companies, especially the international road linking Emssaed-Ras Ajdair.Alberini indicated that the Libyan-Italian Joint Chamber of Commerce is working to organize the Italian Industries Agents Exhibition in its second edition at Tripoli International Fair in coordination with the General Exhibitions Authority affiliated with the Ministry, and to hold the Libyan-Italian Economic Forum in Rome in December 2023.

The Italian ambassador added that the resumption of flights between the two countries will witness an increase in the number of weekly flights in the coming period in the context of supporting bilateral relations between the two countries.
