Libyan-Italian talks in Rome to proceed with joint agreements

The Libyan ambassador to Italy, Omar Al-Tarhouni, held discussions on Tuesday in Rome with officials of the Italian Foreign Ministry on the issue of joint cooperation and the activation of certain agreements between both countries.

The Libyan ambassador stressed during his meeting with the Italian Foreign Ministry’s Undersecretary, Manlio Di Stefano, the necessity to revive the joint committees to implement the agreed programs and projects.

Al-Tarhouni also stressed the need to activate the friendship treaty, lift the Libyan flight ban and facilitate procedures for Libyans to obtain a Schengen visa without difficulty.
