Libyan Iron and Steel Company inaugurates Sodium Silicate factory.

The Libyan Iron and Steel Company inaugurated a factory for dissolving “sodium silicate”, which is used in the cold molding unit of the direct reduction plant, as an advanced step towards further progress and development in this field.

The company explained that the factory comes in partnership with the private sector represented by the Horizon Chemical Industries Company, which will implement the obligations of the contract terms, including the supply of solid material, operation and maintenance of machines, provided that the Libyan Iron and Steel Company is committed to connecting water, electricity, steam and sewage lines, with the purchase of the material after Thawing them for use at the factory.

The first phases of testing and actual operation of the plant were conducted, which will save the company several burdens related to the import and transfer of the material that was imported from several countries, including India, Tunisia and Egypt.
