The Minister of Local Governing, Badr Al-Deen Al-Toumi, said applications for housing loans will start on Sunday online, adding in a press conference that land plots will be distributed in all regions: 3500 plots in south Libya, 3500 in the west and central regions and 1500 in the east as a first phase.
Al-Toumi said there will be 16.000 plots of land that will be ready in a month, in addition to 8625 ready ones, thanks to the efforts of the building company.
Meanwhile, the State Minister for Prime Minister Affairs, Adel Jumua, said the Youth Ministry specified the plots of land to be distributed across Libya, saying all loans have no interest rates, adding that the Savings Bank will announce the requirements for the loans soon as it is going to be the executive management of the PM’s loan initiative. He also said that the distribution of 100.000 unfinished apartments doesn’t include those apartments that are already assigned to owners.
The CEO of Savings Bank, Emhemed Ghoula, said the 150.000 dinars’ loans will be approved as per the conditions that will be set by the government, adding that the first targeted group is families of the martyrs, people with special needs and needy families.
