Libyan Airlines has settled its debts claimed by aircraft maintenance companies, the airline’s management has confirmed.

It noted that several of its planes stationed at international airports had been transferred to the maintenance centers for repair.

The airline disclosed on its Facebook account that the planes referred to include Airbus “Ak A320” in Egypt, Airbus “AH A320” in Tunisia, and the “CRJ900” in Slovenia.

“The return of these planes to the company’s fleet will have a significant impact and allow the airline to operate more flights.” The company said.

In the same context, Afriqiyah Airways said that it had settled its debts owed to maintenance centres, which conducted repair work for its plans, after being grounded for years in airports in Tunisia, Egypt, Turkey, and Bulgaria.
