The Head of the Libyan Presidential Council, Mohammed Menfi, discussed with the Tunisian President, Kais Saied, facilitating travel procedures between the two countries and boosting joint security cooperation.

In a press conference upon Menfi’s visit to Tunis Saturday, he said they had gone over resolving the issues of Tunisian and Libyan nationals in both countries, saying the issue of security is the focal point that Tunisia and Libya should tackle as it is necessarily viral for the region’s stability.

Menfi said they had also reviewed bilateral cooperation in economy, security, culture, investment and other areas, while Kais said Tunisia would keep on working on cooperation with Libya, especially in rebuilding projects to help the country in the current interim period ahead of elections where Libyans can choose their leadership without any dictation.

Menfi arrived in Tunisia on Saturday and will stay for three days. His visit comes after one week of the Tunisian Prime Minister’s visit to Tripoli, where they signed trade cooperation agreements.
