Minister of Transport, Milad Matouq, held discussions on Tuesday, with the Spanish ambassador to Libya, regarding the contribution of Spanish companies in developing Libyan airports.
The two sides explored the possibility of coordinating a visit to Spanish airports to draw upon the experience of Spain in this field and to raise the efficiency of staff members of Libya’s Airports Authority.
The meeting touched upon the air embargo imposed on Libya and Spain’s contribution to lifting it, as well as cooperation in the field of radar coverage, air navigation, and training.
Libya’s minister of transport also raised the issue of Spain entry visas for Libyans and the cooperation of the Spanish embassy to facilitate the issuance of visas for Libyan students and those conducting training programs in Spain.
