Libya seeks cooperation with CAEU

Minister of State for Economic Affairs Salama Goel, discussed with the Secretary-General of the Council of Arab Economic Unity (CAEU) Muhammadi El-Nei Thursday, means of cooperation between Libya and the Council in a way that serves the interest of the two sides.

The officials who met at the Council’s HQ in Cairo also reviewed Libya’s economic and social situation and means of providing support in this regard.

El-Nei welcomed Goel’s visit to the Council and praised Libya’s “pivotal role” in joint Arab action.

For his part, Minister Goel congratulated Ambassador Mohammadi Elni for assuming the Secretary-General of the Council of Arab Economic Unity position.
