A delegation of the Korean government, which is presently visiting Libya, organized a visit to the Zueitina power station, accompanied by a number of officials from the General Electricity Company of Libya (GECOL.)

According to the information office of the GECOL, the visit came under the auspices of the Korean government’s follow-up on its companies’ projects internationally and to evaluate the working conditions in preparation for their return to work in Libya, following a lull of some years, due to security and political tension in the country.

Following the visit, the Libyan and Korean parties held an extended meeting in which they discussed the necessity for Korean companies to return to Libya in order to resume previous projects with some urgency.
