The German Ambassador to Libya, Michael Ohnmacht, has discussed the role of German companies in the reconstruction, reviewing the difficulties that prevent their return to the city of Benghazi.

This came during his visit to the city of Benghazi, during which he met with the mayor of Benghazi Municipality, Saqer Bujwari.

“Municipalities play an essential role in serving a country’s citizens in Germany as well as in Libya. Consequently, it was my pleasure to discuss with the Mayor of Benghazi, potential paths to enhance our cooperation, also via GIZ”, Ohnmacht tweeted.

The GIZ, is a German development agency, headquartered in Bonn and Eschborn, provides services in the areas of international development cooperation, including management consulting, rural development, sustainable infrastructure, security and peace-building, social development, governance and democracy, environment and climate change, economic development and employment.
