GECOL, Hyundai discuss completing Tripoli Steam Power Station

The General Electricity Company (GECOL) has urged the Korean Hyundai to resume its work on the West Tripoli Steam Power Station, intended to produce 1,400 megawatts.
The GECOL Head, Muhammad Al-Mashai, received Hyundai’s representative/ manager of the project on Wednesday.The meeting centred on the need to resume work at the station as soon as possible and to complete the project within a time-bound schedule.
“The GECOL is seeing a stable phase in electricity production and is always striving to implement its carefully drawn up strategic plans, to improve its performance, and thoughtfully increase its production capacity,” Al-Mashai said.

For his part, the Hyundai official confirmed the company’s commitment to implementing the project according to the specified schedule under the GECOL supervision.
He praised the electricity company’s efforts in developing the network to improve services and maintain stability.
