Director of the Information Department of the General Electricity Company of Libya (GECOL), Mohammed Al-Takouri, has anticipated a reduction in the load shedding hours due to the passing of the summer peak this year and a drop in temperatures starting from today.
Al-Takouri said in a press statement, Sunday that the energy shortfall currently stands at 2100 megawatts, attributing the increase in the power deficit to the growing demand of consumers, due to high temperatures.
He added that the network is stable, and the 3rd and 4th unite at Ubari station are functioning properly.
