The former British ambassador to Libya, Peter Millett, has chaired the Libyan-British Business Council (LBBC), succeeding the former British ambassador, Vincent Fean.

Millett said that he will use his political and economic relations in Libya to guide British investors wishing to invest in the country, according to the African Intelligence website.

A few months after his retirement from the Foreign Office, Millett established Peter Millett Consultancy to advise the Libyan Investment Authority, the Central Bank of Libya and the National Oil Corporation.
