The Minister of Finance of the Presidential Council’s government, Osama Hamad, met Tuesday with the General Director of the Libyan Foreign Bank, Mohammed Bin Yousif, and discussed the financial as well as legal status of certain loans given by Libya to some African countries.
The Ministry’s media office reported that the discussion included a review of diplomatic and judicial procedures that can help return the money loaned to those countries.
Meanwhile, the office added that the meeting resulted in a joint work by all state authorities to push the countries to pay back the value of the loans, saying that the joint work shall be intensive and end in two months after it kicks off.
