Eni, Italy’s oil giant, has expressed the willingness to launch a new phase of investments in Libya aimed at increasing the gas output of the country, leveraging on the significant exploration potential as well as on the existing facilities which grant access to the domestic and the European export markets.
In a statement on Wednesday, Eni said the National Oil Corporation (NOC) Chairman, Farhat Bengdara, along with a delegation of NOC’s senior executives, met in Rome with Eni’s CEO Claudio Descalzi, to discuss Eni’s activity in the country and strategic projects.
Eni CEO and NOC Chairman also discussed on implementation of renewables projects in the Country as the CEO of Eni welcomed the NOC plan to increase the daily output of the country up to 2 million barrels of oil per day and reaffirmed Eni’s support to reach this target for the mutual benefit of the parties.
