Libya’s NOC is continuing the force majeure on oil production from the El Feel field according to Mellitah Oil & Gas. Through a posting on its Facebook page the company said that the field could not be operated despite intensive mediation efforts led by elders in neighboring towns.
El Feel has been closed for 25 consecutive days by the Petroleum Facilities Guard (PFG) of Fezzan.
The command of PFG in Tripoli announced earlier that it had reached an agreement on reopening the field and resuming the export of oil within days, but to date this has not occurred.
