A delegation from Egypt visited Maitiga Airport Sunday to assess the procedures and operations at the facility in preparation for resuming flights between Libya and Cairo.
According to the Airport Authority, the Egyptian delegation met with the team assigned by the airport administration, who accompanied the hosts on a tour of the airport’s facilities to follow up on the procedures and security measures at the airport.
The Egyptian team intends to visit Misrata and Benina airports to determine the possibility of resuming flights to and from Cairo International Airport, the Airport Authority said.
