The Tripoli Ministry of Health organized a workshop entitled “Digital Health Prospects” with the UNDP last Tuesday (15 December) at the Corinthia Hotel in Tripoli.
The Health Ministry reported that the workshop aimed to enhance the work of the Libyan state, in line with achieving the sustainable development goals (SDG), which include achieving universal health coverage and providing the best health services, with digital health being one of the means of access to accessible and high-quality health services.
It reported that the workshop included many lectures, speeches, discussions and outputs on the National E-Health Programme.
The agenda included discussing the importance of digital health, exploring prospects for cooperation in this field, and exploring emerging digital health models, entrepreneurship, and advanced technologies.
It also included the establishment of an expert committee between official authorities and experts in the field of health care and service providers on the other hand.
The spotlight was on the socio-economic impact of telehealth applications and access to appropriate healthcare.
