Bilateral Relations with France.

The Libyan Foreign Minister and the French Foreign Minister discussed bilateral relations and joint efforts to fight terrorism and extremism to achieve security and stability in the Mediterranean region on the sidelines of the fourteenth meeting of the 5 + 5 Dialogue Group in Algiers which dealt with regional and international efforts to achieve security and stability in Libya, including the work of UN special envoy to Libya.

The French minister reaffirmed his country’s support for the presidential council and the national government of accord and stressed the compatibility of views between Libya and France in supporting all efforts leading to a political solution and excluding any military solution to the Libyan crisis.
