Algerian Sonelgaz Group: Studies are continuing to export electricity to Libya.

The head of the Algerian state-owned Sonelgaz group, Mourad Ajal, has revealed that studies are currently being conducted with the aim of exporting electric power to Libya.

Ajal was responding to journalists’ questions in the state of Skikda, located 500 km east of Algiers, explained that his country, through the Sonelgaz group exports more than 500 megawatts to Tunisia, while studies on the export of energy to Libya have not yet been completed.

A delegation from the General Electricity Company of Libya had previously discussed with the Algerian Ministry of Energy providing technical support to the electricity sector in Libya.
