Algeria has agreed to open the “Deb-deb” border crossing point with Libya in front of commercial traffic by setting a commodity exchange point at 0 km.
Algerian Prime Minister Abdelaziz Jarad confirmed that his country is studying avenues to allow Algerian merchants to enter the war-torn neighbouring country, following the improvement of security conditions in Libya, according to the Algerian newspaper, “Al-Bilad”.
The Libyan security and military authorities had held intensive meetings with the local authorities in the Municipality of Ghadames to develop a plan to secure the Ghadames-Deb-deb border crossing point with Algeria.
